Werner Jeker

Werner Jeker will celebrate his 60th anniversary on December 25, 2004. He’s been labeled as a link between historical past of Swiss glorious school and visual culture of the twenty first century. Swiss school of graphics is the top point of graphic design art in the twentieth century. Werner Jeker is one of the luminaries of Swiss poster and one of the up to date masters in the world of modern design.

Werner Jeker cooperates with many cultural and social institutions and commercial structures. Among his clients are national and foreign museums, theatres, foundations.

Werner Jeker is the recipient of many awards at international Biennials and Triennials, including Warsaw (1978, 1996), Lahti (1985) and Toyama (1985, 1994, 1997).

Werner Jeker’s personal exhibitions took place in Switzerland (1988, 1992), France (1988, 1990), Canada (1989), Italy (1989) and Japan (1996).

Werner Jeker is the professor at the School for Applied Art in Lausanne where he headed Department of Graphic Design from 1974 till 1986.He read lectures in well-known design schools in �arlsruhe, Paris and Weimar.
